There are many benefits to employing a muticloud infrastructure. Chief among them is that this approach affords modern enterprises the opportunity to maintain a secure, cost-effective hybrid cloud environment. Additionally, a multicloud infrastructure helps mitigate IT disasters by having a separate, independent replica of an application on another cloud infrastructure that can be deployed in case one goes down.

For these reasons – and many more – enterprises are making the switch to a multicloud approach. In fact, according to a new study from Forrester Consulting, 83% of organizations have adopted a multicloud approach or otherwise plan to do so within the next year.

Needless to say, now is the time to have the cloud conversation with your customers. The benefits in doing so are two-fold: they enjoy the many opportunities that come with multicloud, and you can expand your business into new territory.

At VMware Explore 2022, Dell Technologies will be making several announcements as it pertains to its joint engineering efforts with VMWare and the expansion of a modern, multicloud portfolio. The following is a summary of what to expect.

Addressing the complex challenges of deploying and managing a multicloud environment

Dell and VMWare have partnered together to deliver multicloud solutions that address the complex challenges of managing an operation in today’s work environment. Among the key benefits that you can deliver to your customers:

Faster Innovation: The jointly engineered multicloud solutions are designed to encourage breakthroughs. If your customers are ready to adopt multicloud technologies that enable rapid innovation, you can leverage the support of Dell’s global ProDeploy Services & Consulting teams to help you go to market with a trusted, flexible, and agile IT foundation.

Modernize and Grow: Multicloud is built to encourage business growth. Dell and VMWare’s multicloud solutions deliver a common and consistent operating model across all places where your customers run their applications. Why? Because this gives them multicloud by design, not default which, in turn, affords you as the solution provider, the opportunity to broaden the engagement you

have with your customers.

Thrive at the Edge: Many recently published analytical reports are suggesting a significant increase in the number of applications at the Edge over the next few years. Don’t miss this opportunity to monetize the Edge by offering a Dell Technologies and VMware common operating model that extends your customers’ datacenter and cloud deployments to any location.

What can you expect at VMWare Explore 2022

Among the key announcements:

VxRail Performance Enhancements

Dell’s VxRail HCI system with Data Processing Units running VMware Distributed Services Engine improves application performance by offloading infrastructure services from the CPU to the DPU while provides automated, consistent operations and lifecycle management.

Worth noting: VxRail is the first and only jointly engineered HCI system to support vSAN 8 Express Storage Architecture, improving performance up to 4x and maximizing the use of NVME drives to address workloads with high performance requirements.

APEX

Here, you have the opportunity to deliver to your customers a simplified cloud-native application development experience at no additional cost with APEX Cloud Services featuring VMware Cloud, APEX Private Cloud and APEX Hybrid Cloud with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid.

APEX Private Cloud and APEX Hybrid Cloud now enable independent scale of compute and storage and the ability to attach to external storage for rich data services. What’s more, you can extend APEX configurations with Edge-optimized APEX private cloud 2-node configurations.

VxRail for EDGE

Help customers securely meet the growing demand of distributed workloads in high latency, low bandwidth locations with an industry first purpose-built hardware witness for 2-node vSAN clusters. VxRail extends enterprise performance and consistent, automated operations to any edge location.

There’s a lot of flexibility here, too. You can take VxRail to the Edge with rugged modular nodes – racked, stacked, or mounted for use anywhere – purpose-built for Edge use cases to help your

customers truly thrive.

Dell Validated Design for AI – AutoML

One of the areas where Dell and VMware’s innovations truly come together is to solve one

of the most challenging use cases – how best to extract value and insights from data.

To help your customers achieve this with AI, Dell and VMWare are providing you the opportunity to deliver AI to them with AutoML on VxRail with vSphere Tanzu.

Dell Validated Designs for AI feature generation, hyperparameter tuning and iterative modeling and model assessment, so your customers can achieve faster configuration and integration of their AI models.
