Modern IT organizations know it is imperative to keep up-to-date and in-the-know with today’s continuously evolving security threats, and yet this can also be challenging, taking resources away from strategic projects and demanding continuous knowledge updates. Cybercrime can be a costly endeavor, but beyond the financial impact of a security breach, companies risk a loss of reputation – especially if their data is breached.

To protect their organizations from these threats, IT departments must go beyond simply putting in place a strong defense system. They must have the expertise and support to quickly detect, identify, and respond to threats across their entire environment – from endpoint to the network and on to the cloud.

A Full-Service Solution

Indeed, the stakes have never been higher. That’s why Dell Technologies has introduced Managed Detection and Response powered by Secureworks® Taegis™ XDR. Based on an easy-to-consume, subscription model, companies with 50 or more endpoints can rely on Dell Technologies Managed Detection and Response to get expert assistance for quick threat remediation and response.

The following is a closer look at some of the key highlights of this exciting new solution:

Managed Threat Detection and Response

Dell Technologies offers a fully managed, end-to-end, 24/7 service that proactively monitors, detects, investigates, and responds to threats across the entire IT environment. This service is designed to help organizations quickly improve their security posture and reduce the burden placed on IT.

This unique service relies on two key capabilities:

  • The power of the open Secureworks Taegis XDR security analytics software, which is built on 20+ years of SecOps experience, including real-world threat intelligence and research, along with experience detecting and responding to advanced threats.
  • The expertise of Dell Technologies security analysts, gained through years of experience helping organizations worldwide to better protect their business.

Expert monitoring

Dell Technologies security analysts assist with initial set up, monitoring, detection, remediation, and response. If an alert warrants an investigation, analysts will work to determine and perform the appropriate response. If a threat is malicious or requires action on the part of the customer, they are informed and, if necessary, provided with step-by-step instructions.

Furthermore, as part of the service, Dell provides up to 40 hours per quarter of remote remediation assistance. This covers such tasks as helping with troubleshooting, issue resolution, software deployments, patch and asset assessment, and configuration of IT environments.

Reactive Incident Response

In the event of a security incident, Dell Technologies initiates the process to get your customer’s business back up and running sooner rather than later. The company provides up to 40 hours of remote incident response assistance a year.

Some examples of remote incident response assistance include establishing a single point of contact for your customer, analysis of on-premises and cloud infrastructure data and logs, status tracking and reporting, and remediation planning and guidance.
